Volunteers such as small group and ministry team leaders can send messages to the lists you choose, without seeing anything else in your account, such as donation history. To do this, give each one a limited login.

You need an active account with a phone number, and access to Account Settings.

Part 1: Create a list if you need one

If the list already exists, skip to Part 2.

  1. Click Subscription Lists under Tools in the left-hand column.
  2. Click New List, enter a List name and a Keyword, and click Create list.
  3. Add people from the list's Members tab if you want to.

Part 2: Invite the volunteer

  1. Click your name at the top right and choose Account & Billing.
  2. Click Users, then New user.
  3. On the Profile tab, enter their name, Email and Mobile phone. You do not choose a password for them.
  4. Click the Access permissions tab. The tree starts as a copy of your own access, so you need to limit it.
  5. Click Entire Account until it no longer shows as allowed. Clicking moves an item through Inherit, Allow and Block.
  6. Open My Numbers, your number, Tools and Subscription Lists. Click the keyword of each list this person may use until it shows Allowed.
  7. Check that nothing else shows as allowed unless you mean it to.
  8. Click Send invite.

They get an email with a link to set their own password. The link is good for 7 days. If it runs out, use Resend invite on the Users page.

A note about replies

If you want a volunteer to see replies, you can allow Conversations for your number. This gives them all the conversations on that number, not only the ones from their lists.
